My friend and I did a 14.4 mile/3 day/2 night loop hike here in June 2018. Definitely a unique experience. We did not know that the trails were not blazed so it put our map and compass skills to the test. VERY rocky. Very MUDDY....More

I go here every time i get the chance. Proposed to my wife in spring on top of one of the mountains. A field full of piled small white boulders that you can walk on and pick blueberries in. We picked hundreds and hundreds of...More

Beautiful Mountain Views along with tundra reminiscent of Alaska. Very primitive camping facilities at $11 nightly on the honor system. Multitudes of trails for envigorated hikers. Makes for a wonderful Sunday drive. One picnic area with bathroom available. No cell phone service or ranger services...More

An interesting place for sight seeing by car or hiking. The geology is quite unique and the mix of rhodedendrons, azaleas, blueberry and huckleberry plants make for a beautiful vista.

It is a lovely place to see beautiful rocks of differing formations and foliage IF you know how to get there. There is spotty cell and wifi, gps, signal, so know your route before you begin. My sister and I lost 2 hours being lost....More

Dolly Sods has very limited views and very difficult to navigate trails. People get lost there all the time, with numerous search and rescue efforts over the last decade. Additionally, have seen several copperheads and even in a drought there tends be a ton of...More

Once and sometimes twice in a summer my wife and I visit Dolly Sods. Such a beautiful place. There are many sides to its beauty. We usually come in on the “Jordan Run” side in Grant County and go in. It is truly a different...More
