It is a really interesting Court House. In this court house one of greatest man of America was convicted for his willing to fight Slavery back in the days. A lot of respect to John Brown.

To enter Jefferson Counry Courthouse is to step back in time. Even thought the courthouse is still being used today, the decor is of days of old! To see the woodwork and original artwork is something to awe!

This is a working courthouse. It could use some TLC but it's old and jammed packed with history. Located near the Charles Town Visitors Center, it can serve as a starting point for a walking tour of Charles Town. (John Brown was tried here and...More

The old court house is no longer active, but it is beautiful to see in the historic section of Charles Town. There are many other historic buildings and landmarks in the area a good place to take a short walk.

It's a lot better from the outside. Inside, it looks like an old building that has been rerererefitted to provide indoor plumbing, HVAC, electricity, etc. Read the plaques on the outside and let it go at that.

It is amazing to think about sitting in the same room as John Brown when he was convicted and sentenced to death by hanging.

Historically this is one of the most important buildings in the county. It is where John Brown's trial was railroaded by the Va Governor. No justice was served here, and since the place is in such shambles today I don't see how anyone could feel...More
