Not very knowledgeable about the wineries in my opinion. Best thing to do is look at Tripadvisor, visit a couple and ask for their recommendations.

A stop at This visitor center is definatly a must before you begin your winery tour! They provide you with maps, information on the Winery’s, sell wine, and you can get a “Passport card” for discounts on tasting and wine!

Have been there to purchase local products, to give as presents - they have a good selection. I do think their hours should include the weekends more - so call ahead if you are thinking on going during non-banker's hours.

Great place for maps, brochures, etc. with a very helpful, accommodating staff. We got there late so just got what we needed and left.

No picnic tables. Located on a small triangle of land right off the freeway.
