For me spring and fall offer the best side of the Cowiche Canyon trail. An old abandoned railroad was transformed into an easy hiking trail great for the whole family. You can also bike the trail, or you can challenge yourself by hiking or biking...More

This is such a great place that locals have been going for years. With lots of new people on the trail I have picked up more garbage this year than in all my years combined - Starbucks coffee cups appear to be a favorite or...More

Easy to get to, just at the edge of town. Nothing too strenuous for hiking right through the canyon. Easy out and back, or use a second car parked at other end. We frequently hike up to the winery for tastings.

We love this trail! It has different entry areas from difficult with a tough climb to level n easy. We really like coming down through the winery but climbing back up is not an easy hike. You will work up a sweat. I do wish...More

I love the canyon trail for so many reasons: 1. It’s @ 6 miles so it’s wnough of a hike to feel like you did something but not so much that anyone would need to be left behind. 2. It’s beautiful! 3. Dog friendly 4....More

There arr lots of options on these trails. Flat, following the old railroad tracks, or coming down the hills, which means back up again. We took all three dogs who enjoyed the river.

My family has gone to the Cowiche Canyon for two different hikes. The first time we started at the top of the canyon way out on Scenic Drive. This hike required a lot of up and down hill walking, so be prepared. The second time...More

We didn't go out there too long. We're not local here and not used to this hot. My little dog had problem walking in gravel road because it was too hot. I'd come back when the weather is cooling down.
