I took my niece to the museum of glass and went across the Chihuly Bridge of Glass. It’s outside and free. There were lots of people on it. The picture I posted is of the Crystal Towers, center of bridge. It never gets old.

A bridge over the roadway, displays many works of glass and a part of the ceiling which is full of colorful glasswork. The bridge connects the History Museum downtown and the Glass Museum.

Watched a guest glass blower work on a project with the help of the residents. Then viewed his finished projects on display. I don't remember his name but he was there from 2/27 to 3/3/2019. Gregory something I believe. Fantastic material. Worth the whole trip....More

This walk is mesmerizing the first time you cross. Traffic noise aside, Chihuly's glass objects sparkle in the ceiling above especially on a sunny day. This is a fantastic connection between the Tacoma Art Museum, the Washington State History Museum and the Museum of Glass.

It's interesting, but didn't have much variety. A lot of similar stuff. Not a big glass art fan. If you are really into glass, it may be more in your wheelhouse....but for me it was just aight.

This overpass from downtown to the museum district provides an beautiful experience. On a sunny day, the light streams through and the glass art sparkles. Even on a cloudy day, the beauty along this bridge will brighten your day.

There are some cool, interesting glass art pieces on the bridge, linking university district and the marina. But its not made of glass as the name suggests.

Crossing the bridge is a treat! The light shines through the glass and sparkles. The work is both creative and organic. Just lovely!

A perfect short walk over the tracks/road between the Museum of Glass and the Washington History Museum. The Chihuly exhibit in Seattle at the space needle is far better but hey, this is Tacoma.

The bridge itself isn't made of glass. It is a typical pedestrian bridge but one that has glass art installed on it.

Hi Maggie, yes there is ample parking space nearby. But we simply parked our RV at the curb on Dock street. But there are parking lots along Dock Street as well.

The bridge is always open. It’s an open walkway and bridge between the Washington State Historical Museum and the Glass Museum.
