We were excited to visit the Tacoma Art Museum when the new wing opened. It’s beautifully done and filled with some gorgeous pieces. Well worth a visit. I also appreciate that the have free entrance on the Third Thursday Art Walk from 5-8.

The museum is convenient to the Tacoma Museum of Glass and works well as a pair. TAM has a superb and quite varied glass collection, which complements TMOG. Its non-glass collections are well presented and interesting. Not a large museum but well worth a visit.

I was excited to see the new Benaroya wing of the museum. That part was well done, but overall was underwhelmed with the collection as a whole. There are a few sweet pieces, but glad the day I went on the “free” admit day. Easy...More

An amazing art museum, one that I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Tacoma area. The installations/artwork had me captivated the entire time.

Stopped by TAM on a business trip to Tacoma. Wonderful staff greeted me and directed me to areas of interest. Great building full of natural light which really made art “shine”. Left feeling relaxed and invigorated.

The museum's collection of Western Art is exceptional. I have been back several times, and have taken out-of- town guests there. They often have special exhibits whose artists you can't see anywhere else -- even in Seattle.

We enjoyed our visit here. There is a nice collection of paintings and sculptures to view. It took us about 90 minutes to see this. It is somewhat small but the quality of the art on exhibit make visiting this worth while.
