We really enjoyed our trip to the Suquamish Museum. Small--it takes about 30 -60 minutes, depending on the exhibits, the museum and exhibition space is gorgeous and informative about the Suquamish tribe, an important tribe in the Greater Seattle area. This is a very well put together museum. They deal with people from pre-history to the present. I gives you the Suquamish view of the world. We can learn a lot from them.

This is an eye opening museum. So much of what happened to the native Americans is not discussed and should be. The museum doesn't intent to shame anyone, but instead simple states the sad truth. It opened by eyes and shocked me.

A beautifully designed and constructed museum of the past and current cultural traditions. Great gift shop and wonderfully designed displays. The history of our area is unique and well-worth learning about.

Aside from the artistic beauty of the displays alone, I recommend thoroughly reading the displays for its historical lessons. The two that I found important was that: #1: Keep records of your history.  Hide 'em from being destroyed if needed,  because they will be needed...More
