What a treat. Rated top 10 in Washington state in various ranking, this one did not disappoint. On the contrary. From the well stocked pro shop, the great staff in the restaurant where the food was also delicious and not expensive, to the starter and the lady in the beverage cart, all really nice. The last one gets a special thanks, as we wanted a coke, but did not have cash with us. She gave it to us, thanks again, this does not happen often.

Anyway, the course. For US standards narrow, for European not so narrow. Great lay out, every hole is different. However, miss a fairway and the ball is lost. That is a fact as there is no room for error. Fast and fair greens, plays a bit long, as they keep the fairways wet, so not a lot of roll. Anyway, choose your tee wisely, dont try to be be a hero here. Good carts too, with gps and a free bottle of water.

Highly recommended!

This golf course is tied to the Little Creek Casino Resort.

It is my opinion that resort courses should be challenging, but not punitive. The average golfer should be able to go play and not feel completely demoralized when done. Fairways should be wide, and the design should be such that it keeps a reasonably errant shot in play

That said, this is not a resort course. The fairways are mostly pretty narrow, some of the landing areas widen out nice, but between the T's and that area, all the trees and tall grass can get in your head. My advice for the average golfer, pick out your best shag balls and play them. Don't play your regular ball, unless money means nothing to you.

It is however a nice layout. Its nice they give you a decent GPS system in the cart since some of the landing areas are a mystery from the T box. There are some nice drop off shots and some fun risk/reward opportunities.

The practice facilities are decent enough and you get range balls with your greens fee (along with the mandatory cart, which you will be glad they didn't give you a choice)

T boxes for the most part were big, flat, and in good shape. Plenty of yardage for the top players.

Fairways were in pretty good shape. There was some brown stress spots, but this area experienced record breaking heat just a few weeks prior to our visit.

rough and fringe around the greens were in great shape.

I'm surprised to see so many positive comments about the greens. Not sure if this is a symptom of the past year and a half (Covid), or what, but they were pretty bad. Apparently nearly none of the players/visitors there bother to fix ball marks and the greens crew leave the marks long enough to where they are scars by the time they get fixed/flattened out. Either that or the greens crew don't know how to properly fix ball marks. This actually could be the case because they for sure don't know how to properly replace a cup plug. In all my years golfing I've never seen so many poorly replace cup plugs. Between the ball mark scars and the cup scars, getting a true roll to the cup isn't possible. Combine that with the slowest greens I've played in ages (can't believe someone from last month said they were fast). I didn't even bother really trying to putt well.

The course uses variable pricing, which is OK I guess. You can get decent weekday and late day rates. Our rate for two was $238 and based on that, I'm a little put off on the condition of the greens. For this kind of money at a no name resort course, I expect perfection T to Green.

Excellent course, but quite difficult. Missed fairway=lost ball. Lots of elevation changes, trees, forced carries plus four or five water hazards. Very fluffy sand makes the bunkers extremely tough. Greens fast but fair and the breaks are very deceiving. Good shots are generally rewarded, but bad shots are punished severely. I birdied the first hole, yet still shot my worst score in decades, but still enjoyed the round. Conditioning is excellent. Cart and range balls are included in the greens fees. Friendly staff. Restaurant is so-so. Expensive, but you get what you pay for.

****VIOLATION OF COVID -19 REQUIREMENTS****

753350022

Beware, this golf course is NOT following Inslee's requirements regarding play (see below). If this is a concern for you they will NOT reimburse you and will tell you that they are allowed to make up their own rules since they are on a reservation.

At the golf course’s discretion, foursomes are allowed if they are from the same household.
Otherwise, no more than two players from separate households per tee time. Single players should
be asked if they would like to be paired together.

so this incredibally hard and beautifully manicured golf resort is maybe the best golf experience in the entire state of WA. The Management team of Chris and Sheena are very professional and well seasoned. Laura in the grill will make sure you leave with a warm full belly and a smile on your face.

Kudos to the staff for making our round that much better. The greeters, and pro shop staff were superb. The Groundskeeping staff are excellent. For the most part they were invisible and when they couldn't be, the equipment was either off or at very low idle. The course was in excellent shape. And what a course. Definitely a course that staying on the fairways is a must. We will return. Extremely nice to have some warm up balls waiting in the cart when you picked it up.

First off, very attentive greeters and outside service employees. Very helpful and sincere.

Driving range was sufficient and very close, but I would prefer if they had balls out there instead of giving you a bag of twenty. Sometimes you just need a few more.

The course itself was beautiful as it winded through the trees. I loved it. The conditioning was fantastic. The greens rolled true and looked great.

This is a difficult course in the sense that a bad shot becomes very penal and can turn into three or four extra strokes very quick.

The specific holes aren’t as memorable as the overall experience and feel of the course. I would love to play here regularly. Oh, and the golf carts were really nice!
