The Ferry is very well run and efficient. The employees are all friendly and knowledgable. There is beautiful scenery to admire while waiting in line.

One must first make reservations, with the threat of being charged if you miss your date and time---one then must appear at the dock 30-45 minutes ahead of sailing time although the boats are often running behind....and one must put up with ferry-line-cutters and ferry...More

The ferry from here is a 45 minute trip to Coupeville on Whidbey Island. The PT side is a nice, well laid out facility. But DEFINITELY make a reservation.

We were traveling during summer time and booked the ferry a few weeks before we arrived. The ferry service between Port Townsend and Coupeville was impeccable. It was amazing how quickly the ferry was load and unload. We enjoyed a speedy crossing. Highly recommended.

Typical of the good Seattle/Washington Stare ferry system. But this ferry can be very busy, especially when there are festivals or on summer weekends and holidays so reservations are highly recommended.

The summer is a busy time and it’s not pleasant to miss ferries so be sure to book in advance. If you do miss one, they allow you to exit when traffic allows and get a refund. The Port Townsend to Whidbey Island Run is...More

I have a mixed review. The fee taker was very nice and helpful and accurate. However, our other party in a different line was charged 2x for their vehicle and had to deal with getting that corrected. Not really knowing how the ferries work, we...More

There are earlier comments about the service and mishandling of reservations. We had no such problems. We made our Rez online and purchased our tickets at the same time. Arriving 40 minutes ahead as requested, the kiosk was helpful and patient with our questions. Loading...More

No direct ferry but take ferry from Friday harbor to Annacortes then drive south onto Whidbey island over bridge and go to the ferry terminal on Whidbey that takes you straight into port Townsend
