The hike to Boulder Cave has been a family event for more than 60 years. Now there are four generations in the family that counted as a favorite.

It is a nice well used trail and walk through a cave. Bring a good flashlight. Wear good walking shoes as the cave has a rocky bottom with possibilities of ankle twisting.

This is a fairly easy trail to a very nice walk thru the cave itself. Only about a mile and a half round trip. A lot of uphill hiking. Not too steep, but if you are old like me, be prepared to stop and rest...More

We did this as a short hike, having done the High Skyline at Mounbt Rainier the day before, so a bi more relaxed. It was still a nice walk, around 1.7 miles all in. The cave was obviously the star attraction. Really interesting rock formations,...More

A short drive up the highway, Boulder Cave is a local favorite spot. With a recently redone parking lot and bathrooms, the trail is a short and easy hike up to the cave. You definitely need something stronger and more than a phone for a...More

We've done this hike numerous times over the years while camping in this area. We often hike up to the caves on the trail, see the water fall, then walk through the caves and come back down walking in the creek. Toward the bottom of...More

Easy hike and interesting for kids. Bummer that so many people don't pick up after themselves and let their kids run wild screaming through the cave.

It was beautiful minus the trash. I have never seen so much garbage on a hike! We picked up what we could. Unfortunately we couldn't dump the little punks that were there drinking and smoking in the enclosed waterfall area. Yuck! I can see why...More

Another good one for getting the kids on the trail. Very little elevation and fun adventure going through the cave. There were also many butterflies around when we went. Bring water. It's warm/hot and dry in the summer.

An easy access trail up Chinook Pass. The cave is short but very dark. It is a fun experience for the little ones and doesn't take too much time. Make sure to pack a picnic and enjoy the trails along the river too.
