We just visited this trail and left halfway through because of the bugs!!!!! I'm no stuck up when it comes to the outdoors but there wasn't a second on that trail that didn't involve swatting flies and avoiding bees!!! Beware!

This is a wonderful hike, leading to a pristine alpine Lake with up close views of the glaciers on Mt. Shuksan. Lots of wildflowers when we went made it extra special. This trail will likely be crowded on summer weekends, so plan accordingly.

not the most efficient trail with all the elevation gain and loss, however this is a great trail to experience the true beauty of the Mt Baker and Mt Shuksan area

At Lake Ann you can hike in and camp anywhere along the lake (there are no designated camp sites) but only around the lake.
