Old growth trees, spectacular river scenery. Quiet and serene. Of course, I visited at the end of the season. Probably noisier when the campsites are full. The RV spaces are big, lots of privacy. The road in is narrow, as are the turn ins to...More

The Chehalis River surrounded by old growth forest makes a nice place for a picnic and/or swimming. The waterfall may not be as awesome as many others in the PNW, but that doesn't take away from its' beauty. If you visit, bring your Discover Pass.

The Falls are the primary attraction; one can stand on the upper bank areas and get a good view of them. Unfortunately, the flood a few years ago took out the short bridge from the primary road into the park, and so we had some...More

Don't get me wrong the scenery is top quality, but trail maintenance was terrible. A majority of trails are overgrown and limited. Expected more hiking options but as soon as you'd go on a trail you are greeted with no trespassing signs. Still some gorgeous...More

The park is so beautiful, with the crashing waters and the secretive hiding places. Cool, misty and well worth a visit!

Rainbow Falls is west of Chehalis, WA, our home town. The park was devastated by a major flood and has been renovated and updated. The Chehalis River flows through the park with the major attraction being the falls which frequently has a small rainbow over...More

Went for a picnic and shirt hike with my wife and 6 year old. Plenty of tables to choose from, all over the picnic area - some shaded, others not, depending on your mood. The table set up does interfere with the lawn space if...More

It's a little jewel of a park. It's easy to find - about 1/2 way between I-5(Chehalis) and the Pacific coast on WA-6. I know, the Rainbow "Falls" aren't much - but your kids will love them for wading and splashing. Its clean and quiet...More
