We had never heard of Hog Islandso thought we would drive out to see what it was. It is an island with the James River on one side and marshes on the other. Evidently you can see bald eagles, ducks, herons...we saw one blue heron...More

So we followed the map provided by Jamestown plantation to get to the "hiking" it advertises and were greated by men with assault rifles at the power plant. These kind gun toting guards advised us that there isn't much hiking back there. Hunting and fishing...More
