My family enjoyed the greenway. Has lots of shade and is skateboard friendly. A great place for my daughter to ride her skateboard while we rode bikes. Will be back again.

I commend the city's parks & rec department as they have done a very good job with Wildwood and Bissett parks. The mountain trails are well laid out and maintained, the paved path along the creek is in great condition. Enter the connecting tunnel and add Bisset park into your hike or bike ride and it gets very pleasurable. I start at the lower lot, cross the bridge and take the strenuous trail to the right first, come down to the upper parking lot, walk down to the paved path, cross the wood bridge back at the lower end and follow that trail up the hill to the tunnel and back down to the paved path, returning to the lower parking lot. The restroom facility is well as can be expected in an area like this, clean, functional. Try it for a brisk walk or mountain trail single track run.

Wildwood Park is a hidden gem. The paved "Riverway" trail runs through the center of this peaceful wooded park and foot trails lead visitors up steep trails on either side. If you're in the area in the spring be sure to walk up the western trails to see a plethora of amazing wildflowers.

Connelly's Run - a tributary to the New River - is a lovely, babbling brook accessible in several places for dogs and kids of all ages. There's a picnic shelter and nice bathrooms.

Keep your eyes peeled for a historic marker and the remnants of the public swimming pool which was in use from the 1920s to the 1960s. Unfortunately, one can easily guess why it closed for good and filled in with dirt in the 1960s...... though you will only read in historic reports that it was too old and too expensive to repair.

This park is so special - and at one time threatened - that the City wisely protected it with a conservation easement so that it will remain a gem for future generations.

If you follow the paved trail across Connelly's Run heading north, you'll go through a very cool tunnel under Main Street and - voila! - you're in Bisset Park and can continue following the Riverway along the banks of the gorgeous New River.

Wildwood Park and Bissett Park are right next to each other, so this review is for both. Bissett park runs along the New River. It has several play grounds and pavilions. There is a small boat launch if you want to put in a small boat, kayak, or canoe. Restrooms are available as well. I enjoy walking or running the paved trail. Its roughly 5 miles if you complete the whole loop. Wildwood also has a paved trail that connects to Bissett. It runs through the woods with short dirt trails branching off. We enjoy walking the dirt trails.

Couldn’t find bissett park but Wildwood is right next to it. Bissett Park is a great picnic venue. On the banks of new river. Kayak public landing site available. Lots of free parking. Stroller and child friendly with paved (and some unoaved) wandering trails along the river and in the trees. Lots of sun and shade and green grass available. Nearby restaurants for take out to bring to the park for a family outing. Swings and play areas for kids, big clean shelters and bathrooms for big kids. Easy access. Also free library box by the playground for grabbing a quick read if you wish. Very relaxing and scenic atmosphere.

Well kept. A great place to ride a bike walk a dog or sit by the river and enjoy a lunch. You can launch a boat or rent a float tube or canoe. Play games on their large fields.

Plenty of trails, nice view of the New River, if you like to hike this is for you, there appear to be many challenging trails that are less traveled, picnic areas and parking is good, I would recommend it for all ages

I love Wildwood Park. Every time I'm in Radford I go there. I have taught wildflower identification and tree identification in Wildwood for years at SUUSI. It's a superb place for this.

I went on a birdwalk one Saturday morning with a knowledgable group of birders ( I did not know as much as they did). I learned a little about birds I was unfamiliar with, but more than that I enjoyed the park immensely. It is quiet, has a beautiful little stream running through it, has paths for bikers and hikers, and occasionally features nature programs. It's a great place to unwind and relax.
