Catoctin Creek® Distilling Company was founded by Becky and Scott Harris in 2009 as the first legal distillery in Loudoun County since before Prohibition. We are located in Purcellville, Virginia, in the heart of the Loudoun Valley. Loudoun County, often called D.C.'s Wine Country, is home to more than twenty vineyards and wineries, and it now has a distillery. At Catoctin Creek, we believe in high quality food and spirits. Organic means higher quality: grain and fruit, sourced locally when possible, free of pesticides and chemical additives that would come through in the spirits we produce. Sure, it is more difficult to produce organically, but the results speak for themselves.

We came for a tour and tasting with my parents who were visiting northern Virginia from out of town. Tasting and tour were great....the staff was very knowledgeable and made our visit very enjoyable. We will be back.

In the middle of the afternoon on a hot day, what better way to cool off than trying some brandy made on site! Warms the tummy though! Wasn't my cup of tea! The 3 samples were not as smooth as I would prefer! However, found...More

It's hard to say whether the tasting itself or the very informative tour was the highlight...I learned so much about distilling and brandy making...but then again, Catoctin does make some fine whiskey. We had 6 in our group and most had the upgraded tasting. The...More

A great distillery with very smooth whiskeys, but what was most impressive was their flavorful gin. It was crisp, refreshing, and full of flavors. It went well with tonic, but honestly, it was good enough to sip straight.

I had been to Catoctin Creek Distillery several times previously for tastings, and it's a beautiful space with a delicious product. The bottling workshop I just attended was informative and fun! I highly recommend this place to anyone travelling or living anywhere in the vicinity.

After visiting a nearby winery, we decided to explore this unique distillery and glad we had! Loved the drink menu options, the venue, knowledgeable and humorous staff, and the history. I appreciated the option to trade out the special drink with a pre-set flight selection...More

This was so fun! Had the opportunity to learn about the beginnings of this small craft distillery and how to make whiskey! Then we were able to participate in a bottling session...filling, corking, labeling, etc. We were able to purchase a bottle or two we...More
