This was Very beautiful but could be a tough hike for some. We went the lower trail up and over a lot of rock. Trails were well marked and maintained.

Although the trail was more difficult to walk than I remember the 2 hours it took my sorry shape to get there the falls are amazing and the pond invigorating to spend time in. 2 mile walk over some rough trails may not be for...More

We did this hiking trip on July 4th. It’s about a 2 hour drive from our house so we got up early and arrived around 10am. The temps have been HOT but this hike was very cool. You pay 3$ to park and it’s the...More

We went and the signs said the lower trail was closed due to wash out. However someone told us to do the first mile on lower trail and switch over at the half way point at bridge and finish on upper trail. Great advice! The...More

After seeing this waterfall on the “Virginia is for Lovers” website, I was determined to see this place in person. I researched the trail, read reviews and mapped out a plan. I live in Moseley, Va so my drive to Cascade Falls (Pembroke, Va) was...More

A great hike and worth the climb. Please note that you do need to hike, uphill, for two miles to reach the falls, and further if you want to see the upper falls. The hike is a steady climb. Hiking boots or shoes recommended. After...More

I've been to the Cascades before but recently came back after several years. Beautiful trail and scenery. It is nice and green in the summer and absolutely gorgeous in the fall. I highly recommend hiking in the fall. The lower trail is scenic and picturesque...More

It's a 2.3 miles hike from the parking lot ($3 per car). We took the upper trail to reach the falls. The trail itself is beautiful. When you will reach the falls, it's amazing. We sat there to enjoy the view and savor the moment....More

I love waterfalls and this place is very clean. The cost is $3 (honor system). The lower hike is very scenic and the tree cover was nice because it was so hot. The waterfall is stunning and the breeze coming off the waterfall is refreshing....More

We took a day trip to visit three waterfalls in western Virginia that are part of the New River Water Trail. Cascade Falls, near Pembroke, Virginia, was our first stop and the highlight. The parking lot was unattended but requires a $3/car day use fee...More

It's about 2 miles but it's winding, uphill and slow going for us due to uneven ground. Of course we stopped to take lots of pictures.

The beginning of the "upper" trail might work but not all the way to the falls. We came across someone pushing a stroller with much difficulty. I would NOT suggest it.

Sorry for the delay. The research I found would indicate No. You can be on the A.T in Giles county near Pearisburg but not from the cascades.
