Worth a visit for its beauty and history, supposedly built on the site chosen by Maori Chief Hongi Hika, who invited the missionaries in. Worth a look when you visit the Stone Store.

This is a beautiful part of the history of New Zealand. This little quaint church is nestled amoungst natural greenery close to the Stone Store and Kemp House and still has weekly services. A most peaceful place to breathe!

The first chapel on this site was built in 1823, but the current one was built in 1878. Very attractive from the outside and a lovely, peaceful ambience inside, with pretty stained windows. The gravestones were also really interesting.

If you are a history buff, this is a must visit. Reading the headstones and walking through the grounds was very interesting.

It seems that there are churches every where and this is no exception. Lovely little church overlooking the basin. Worth a visit when passing.
