One of the most beautiful historic sights of Suzdal. Full of artefacts, old monuments and current expositions. I was taken aback by a picturesque exhibition of Old books held in the monastery. I highly recommend to visit it. And do not forget to go around...More

Very much the star of Suzdal, this Complex was great. The church was beautiful, the museums interesting and the grounds and walls impressive. It was built in unsettled times and you can see the defensive capabilities as you walk around. Plenty of English signage and...More

It is a bit out-of-the-way on Lenin Street if you are walking from the center, but in taking that walk you are passing many churches and wonderfully decorated wooden homes, so it is worth the time and effort to see even more of Suzdal. Once...More

Awesome piece of history that is alive with hourly bell tower performances and sometimes monk chorus performances inside an ancient cathedral

There is so much to see at the monastery museum complex. Make sure to be stood below the bells on the hour to listen to the beautiful ringing.

Looks spectacular outside, and is worth a look inside to see the buildings and gardens, although the museums are of lesser interest unless you are into religion in a big way.

On the contrary of many other places in Russia, this monastery offers a very diversified visit. Beside the church (of course, we're in Russia...) with beautiful fresco's (the nicest I have seen in and around Moscow), the different buildings of the complex are home to...More

We visited this Monastery on a rainy day in June. The Monastery is quite expensive to get into with a cost of an all inclusive ticket being 400 rubles with no cheaper option just to browse the grounds which is all you really need (My...More

Very much worth the visit to this Monastery, sitting at the top end of the town, above the Kamenka river, we approached by crossing a footbridge below the wall coming from the Intercession Convent. If not in a group I would advise to buy the...More

This is a monastery that is not now occupied and it operates as a museum. We has a tour as part of a guided tour onthe area and so it was interesting. Parts of the monastery have displays of artifacts of monasteries but the labels...More
