SERGIUS CHURCH AT KOH CHANG ORTHODOX CHURCH IN THAILAND MOSCOW PATRIARCHATE The Temple is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Divine services: Daily: 8:00 a.m. - morning service 6:30 p.m. - evening service Sundays and Feasts: 9:00 a.m. - Divine liturgy Everyday after morning service supplication prayers to St. Sergius of Radonezh are served. On Mondays at 9 a.m. akathist to St. Sergius of Radonezh is served with singing. In the Temple You can find: • relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh, the great saint of Russia • painted in Thailand icon of St. Sergius All the Church Sacraments: Baptism, Confession, Eucharist, Marriage, etc. are held. You can order services - blessing of the house, car, burial service, supplication prayers and others. You can ask any question you are interested in, or attend Catechism classes before Baptism in Russian or English. Orthodox Church of St.Sergius of Radonezh offer an excursion. After visiting it, you will learn: • Why do people come to the church for praying? • Characteristic of Orthodox architecture. • Why do Christians put the sign of the Cross on ourself? • How and for what icons are appeared? What is the significance of the iconostasis? Symbolism of altar. • Tradition of placing the candles - history and sence. • Who are the Saints? Why do we revere their relics? • You will have the possibility to pray in front of relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh. • You will learn the brief history of Ortodox in Thailand and how the church is appeared on Koh Chang? • After the excursion you will be able to ask priest any questions about Faith and Church you are interested in.
