We had dinner and saw a performance by the Virginia Repertory Theater at the Hanover Tavern. Overall it was a great experience. The 18th Century building is interesting in itself. It's history includes visits over the years by Geo. Washington, E.A. Poe, Chas. Dickens, etc....More

Attended a wine paring dinner at the tavern. 5 courses with wine pared for each course. The chef described each course and a wine rep described the wines. The venue is very nice, historic building, and the food was outstanding.

The folks at the Hanover Tavern were rock stars for our son’s wedding ceremony and reception. All of the food was amazing and everyone raved about it. The Carriage House venue was beautiful and the historic tavern so interesting and comfortable. Thumbs up!

If you are looking for a good crab cake with very little filler this is s good spot to try. I like their regular coffee here too although the decaffeinated is not that flavorful. Attentive waitress without being intrusive.

Lovely tavern. A glass of wine by the fire in the pub. Dinner (also by fireside) was exceptional. Great service, wonderful food, reasonably priced!
