First of all, do not believe your GPS when it takes you up the scrabbled black top near the observatory. It is behind the school, accessible but a well maintained concrete walkway. Cloudy today so no one on staff but the view is pretty.

Very small observatory with lots of local history.

It was too cloudy to view through the telescope while I was there but I was the Only One there! So, I got the curator all to myself for two hours and received a Most Excellent tour of the facility and descriptions of the small collection of materials there. Even had some Very old books that were interesting although they didn't have much to do, directly, with an Observatory.

Great place to see the stars, moon and if you're lucky you might see some other celestial things. The people are very willing to help you see the most you can.
