We went to a gorgeous wedding this past weekend in the barn. The venue was absolutely beautiful. It was a shame that the wedding party had to move the chairs to the tables after the ceremony. It was even worse that the guests had to wear their winter coats and use blankets all evening. There were not enough heaters and they ran out of propane for the ones they had. It was apparent that they were grossly understaffed. The staff that was there was doing everything they could to make things better. I would not suggest this venue if you are having a winter wedding. Any other season would probably be wonderful. Fortunately this did not ruin the night for the bride and groom and at the end of the day, that is what was most important.

Sinkland Farms is a lovely pumpkin patch. They had a hay ride, corn maze, and many aesthetic places to take pictures. I would suggest this pumpkin patch for people with younger kids because they had many forms of entertainment, such as slides and carnival-like games. I bought the cutest “albino” pumpkin here for only $3 dollars! The only reason I rated this pumpkin patch a 4 out of 5 is because in comparison to other pumpkin patches, Sinkland was not the most extravagant. However, they were the first one I’ve visited to have axe throwing! I will definitely go again next year. Happy environment.

The pumpkin festival is far too expensive. Going to pick a pumpkin and a 5 minute hay ride should not cost $50. It's a money pit. I've also heard that several were very unhappy with booking special occasions here. Buyer beware.

Wow....times have changed, the last time we "attempted" to go there they charged for parking ($10!!!) the pumpkins were very expensive and there was a charge for everything that you do...very disappointed in the path that they have taken with this pumpkin patch

The Sinkland Farms Pumpkin Festival started out as a minor event many years ago, but has grown into a substantial activity attended by many if not most of the local residents during the month of October. There have been various business models over the years, but the current one is to pay on entrance and get all the activities for free. You do have to buy pumpkins separately, but what a selection. A hayride will take you to the pumpkin fields, probably 20 acres or more, where you can select your own. Lots of fun activities for the kids, especially the petting zoo. Some refreshments available, and usually some live music entertainment. The farm also serves as an event venue for weddings and such, and now they have a small craft brewery on the premises.

My son and daughter-in-law chose Sinkland Farms as their wedding venue. We were able to decorate the venue Thursday and had a family gathering on the patio Thursday night before the Friday night wedding. Due to rain the wedding was held in the barn chapel which has old wooden church pews. The sun did come out so we were able to get some outdoor photos with the mountains in the background. Debbie the event planner was outstanding. We met Susan the owner as well.

ATTENTION ALL BRIDES!!! Do not book your wedding at Sinkland Farms. I just had my wedding there and good lord do I have a story to tell. Let me start off by saying that this property is beautiful.. hence why I booked my wedding here. But this property has A LOT of improving to do. If only I knew how poorly the management was I would have ran out of that place and never looked back.

My stories starts 4 months before my wedding where I received a text from the venue coordinator (the lady I have been talking to on a week to week basis about wedding details and etc.) saying I no longer work here and the Owner will now be your main point of contact here is her number… my heart sank for a second. The lady that I have been working with for over half a year is no longer going to be there for my wedding! I personally had to reach out the owner (which I thought was very unprofessional) and she told me she would be doing my wedding. She assured my day would be perfect and so on. I felt slightly relieved but was still thrown off about the whole transition.

Fast forward to the month of my wedding. I had set up an appointment with her to a do preliminary walk through with her because I had a weary feeling about how unorganized she was and kept remember all the promises she made me and kept saying the day will be perfect and not worry about anything. But she wasn’t very convincing. We arrive and the venue is a cluttered mess (not the first time it has looked like this) mind you I was promised everything would be clean and perfect and ready to go. The owner doesn’t show up until 35 minutes after our arranged time…mind you, her house is 25 feet from the venue. I was already ticked off that we had to wait for her. As I was talking to her she kept calling me by the wrong name and was so unorganized… exactly what a Bride wants hear/see. On top of calling me the wrong names she loves to nickel and dime people. She would offer me a decoration piece and I would tell her “I loved it - that will look great!” she would reply with something like “Oh great! That will be another $50!!” I was getting slightly agitated as she knew we were on a budget but she kept pushing for the extra charges. We were also promised whatever was left out on the rehearsal day was free of charge because it was too much effort to remove the extra decoration/furniture. Lastly, she was telling us this was going to be her first wedding ever. I was thinking “omg you have to be kidding me” But I looked on the bright side because she was the owner and there was no way this wedding wasn’t going to perfect.

Final walk through: So many things were promised to us. For example, she told us that the venue would be set up exactly how we discussed and we were able to come in at 8 am and start setting up. We went through everything including where we needed tables, how we wanted the benches and pews, what time we were coming what we wanted done and everything. We were all on the same page that day.. so we thought anyway.

Rehearsal day/wedding: We are so excited! We brought family and bridal party at 8 am ready to go. She informs that her crew won’t be showing up until 9:30 to get the venue ready!!! I walk in to the barn NOTHING was changed from the final walk through to the day of the rehearsal. We could barely do anything venue related until way later that morning. Around 9:30 an older gentlemen showed up and started breaking down the reception barn and taking all the brewery furniture out. It wasn’t until 20-30 minutes went by when we realized her “crew” was that older man. It was pitiful watching him do all the hard labor especially since it was so hot outside. A few other men showed up but not until late morning early afternoon. The owner had her “crew” remove everything that left out in the barn, though we were told whatever was out on the rehearsal day could stay because it would be too much work to remove it. Another promise she did not keep. Also the lady was walking around with her dog all day watering flowers rather than helping that elderly man.

On top of EVERYTHING not being ready/cleaned the freezer was broken and the main refrigerator wasn’t working well as it was dripping water into the fridge. You would think she would of checked these before hosting an event? They did replace the main freezer with a smaller freezer but it was a process and it took over half the day to freeze our items that needed freezing. By the freezer being broken set us back even more!

Also on rehearsal day one of the nice amenities in the contract was the Kissing Lounge. It was a cute hen house where the couple could go to be alone and have a moment themselves. It was being used for storage and hadn’t been touched in months. We were promised it would be ready Friday, and then promised Saturday and not even by 11 am on the Wedding Day was it fully cleaned out. She removed all the storage but did not clean it. It was so dirty I wasn’t able to sit on furniture as it would get my dress dirty. It was such a disappointment and on top of that we found out DURING the wedding the kissing lounge did not have power.

We hired Sinkland Farms bartenders and as my father and I were getting ready to go down the aisle the bartenders show up… Mind you, cocktail hour is in 25 minutes!!! She was very cold and not friendly at first. The Cocktail hour starts and no drinks were cold, no signature cocktails were mixed it was a freaking disaster. We had a fun crowd and people were looking forward to a cold beer that we couldn’t deliver on. Luckily my day of coordinator and parents were easily able to fix it but how ridiculous! Also, they had people showing up for the brewery as we were all walking down the aisle, they were angry and wanted to know why the website said open when clearly there was a wedding going on. They left in anger. Lastly, there were emails exchanged back forth between my day of coordinator, parents and the owner and she kept referring to our family as the Anderson's. Clearly, that was not our last name…It was absolutely RIDICULOUS.

There is much more to this story but this post is already long enough. This venue is not worth your money! If I could do it all over again I would not put myself, my family, and my vendors through that disastrous place again. After reading this you are probably thinking poor girl but honestly our wedding turned out perfect; it was amazing but, ONLY because of the vendors we hired and our awesome family and friends. Our day of coordinator was AMAZING she was all over everything and our DJ was great!

My wife and I attending a birthday celebration at the Sinkland Farms Brewery and we had a very nice time. Despite frigid temps, there was plenty of spots beside fire pits to keep folks warm. I only tried "Elvis on Velvet" and it was outstanding, to the point I purchased a growler and had them fill it up.
