This orchard is on the top of a hill so it can get very breezy and is super chilly. I wasn’t there to pick apples but others were doing this (though not properly dressed). I perused the country store and found that the prices were...More

We stopped by after Thanksgiving, and there were still apples to be picked! We rode the hay ride, which was about 10 minutes, through the orchard, and saw the men working to prune the trees. The road to the orchard was very muddy and slippery...More

The road up can be a little intimidating, but it is well paved. Just take your time. At the top is one of the best views in the area. When you head back down, you'll be smiling because you now have a fresh supply of...More

Best donuts in C’ville. Melt in your mouth if you get them still warm. In season, there’s pick your own apples. But other times there are the donuts, the views, cider (warm or cold, hard or soft), hay rides, gift shop. Ample parking but can...More

A great place to have a pint of cider and enjoy an amazing view. The shop looked cute and more apples than I have seen in my life.

All 4 of us had a great time. Donuts, hot cider, and the Bold Rock exclusives were all fantastic. We didn't do any apple picking this time, but we definitely will next trip!

Very crowded on weekends during apple picking season. This is a great place to go for a family outing. Try the apple cider donuts, warm and delicious. There is no entrance fee but you will spend money on delicious snacks and fresh apples.

I used to LOVE this place when I was a kid. Now it's just an obligatory stop in the fall when I'm craving an apple donut or just need to stare at the incredible views of Charlottesville, the Ragged Mountains, and the Blue Ridge Mountains...More

It depends on the type of apple, but most are around $1.79 per pound. Some of the later varieties have been more in the past. The price is about the same as the grocery store, but the apples taste much better.

No animals. You might see deer, wild turkey, raccoons, possum or other animals native to the area, but unless they have a petting zoo event etc. there are no animals there as part of the attraction.
