We spent about 4 hours with lunch, stopping and after shopping drinks. A lot of options for lunch from sandwich shop, burger place to expensive. The shopping is boutique shopping. Nice but expensive.

Despite recent happenings over the past year the Downtown Mall is still a main attraction for Charlottesville. Lots of good restaurants and unique shops. Indoor & outdoor dining available. Very convenient to guests of several Hotels in the area. Parking may be a bit challenging.

A great place to spend your evening after hitting the historic sites. There was a great many restruants and where ever you chose you wont go wrong. The candy shop has many freshly made items and don't pass up the candy apples.

The Downtown Mall was a short walk from our accommodations so we went down for dinner each night we were in town. The restaurant selection is good and not to overpriced for a tourist spot. If you leave the Main Street, the homeless can become...More

I really like the concept of the downtown mall but was disappointed that many of the shops were closed when my husband and I visited. We went on a Friday night around 7:30 pm to walk around and to people watch and many of the...More

Was disappointed in the fact that none of the shops were open past 5 pm. Presence of pan handlers also made lingering on the mall difficult.

The best shopping visiting restaurant mall I have ever been in from Newbury Street or Fanuil Hall in Boston to the Miracle Las in Chicago to Rodeo Drive. Visit the toy store. I still feel guilty I only spent $6.99 for the perfect toy for...More

Nicely done pedestrian shopping area with typical over-priced nick-nack shops and boutiques with a smattering of restaurants and bars. Nice place to stroll and people-watch.

A group of us ate at the outside eating area at Bebedero's . The restaurant is at the end of the mall. While there one could be entertained by some interesting sights such as a Budda shaped juggler, an assortment of male bench warmers that...More

In my experience, many outdoor eating places may allow dogs. As for stores, we didn't have our dog with us, but as we travel, we find that more and more stores do allow dogs (except food stores).
