Had a great visit after i visited 40 years ago. Still remembered a few rooms. Very nice to have been able to go again. Tour guide was great. Grounds were lovely as it was spring and Cherry trees were out in bloom.

Very interesting historical site, we highly recommend touring Monticello. We did the behind the scenes tour which got us into every room on all floors, very interesting and informative.

We really enjoyed our tour of the home. The guide knew the house as well as its history and that of the owners. Very pleaant. Also did not white wash the history, but included both the highlights and low points of the president. Made a...More

Lovely and historical. The gardens are so beautiful. They've added quite a bit so if you haven't been in awhile, go back. Definitely recommend making a trip. When you do, stop at Mitchie Tavern for lunch. Delicious southern buffet!

Loved finally getting to Monticello. Too bad the house tour focused on modern day political issues. Wanted to hear much more about Jefferson himself and his home, ie, the history. Wanted to enjoy the grounds more, but it was pouring rain. Disappointed our Founding Father's...More
