We happened upon this winery while browsing in the Basketville store. They actually produce the wine in a room at the back of the store, which you can see through a viewing window. These wines are made from local fruit. I am not a wine...More

The fee for the tasting is waived if you buy a bottle. We bought a bottle of the cranberry wine. It went perfect when we got back to our hotel and had it with some Grafton cheese and crackers.

Must stop to try the wines. All fruit no grapes go into wines. Blueberry, rhubarb, apple, cranberry all have a nice smooth taste. Not a one we didn't like. Located in the Basketville store which has great merchadise too. Putney Vt is a nice day...More

First off, Putney Winery is not your typical winery at a vineyard. They are not a vineyard yet produce their fruity wines from locally sourced fruits in and around New England. They have a really nice tasting bar in the Basketville store. Nice bonus to...More

Did a tasting in Basketville and had a nice time. The wines themselves were not my favorite but it is interesting to see what is available locally.

Although this winery doesn't have any view we enjoyed the wines and our time. Katie was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines and the processes used to make them. We loved the unique rhubarb and blueberry wines.

What a beautiful winery in the heart of Putney, Vermont. The guy who owns the winery, is so informative, honest, and sources locally. Not only does he offer many different flavors of wine, he has a liquor and sparkling apple cider collection made from the...More

This small but large winery sits off in a quaint Basketville store filled with the best staples of Vermont from wine, syrup, soup mixes, and souvenirs. The staff were very helpful and patient with my mouthy southerners. But we enjoyed every sip.
