Jay Peak is a terrific, challenging ski area almost on the US/Canadian border (just 3 miles south). Like most ski areas in Vermont...go during the midweek and you’ll practically have the place to yourself. There are 70+ trails serviced by 9 lifts including the only...More

Wow! Just wow! I can’t believe how rude and inconsiderate the employees are at this resort. No matter who we had to interact with it was the same thing. The one person who was extremely pleasant to deal with lived in another country (Canada) and...More

We decided to choose Jay Peak after some research on resorts in Vermont. We had done Killington the year before and wanted to try a new mountain. Also, the 50% Canadian at par is nice. Booking was fairly easy, and we decided on the ski...More

Despite some really poor conditions...we had a blast. We were discouraged by the rain and icy conditions in the morning but the mountain guides pointed us in the right direction. We found some snow, and enjoyed our afternoon! The tram was a cool feature. Some...More

We've skied here for many years and the hill and the amenities keep getting better. They've transformed the base areas at both Tramside and Stateside in to top-quality facilities. The Waterpark is a must-do and they've added a climbing gym and movie cinema at Stateside....More

We visited with our children, ages 11 and 14, and everyone had a great time. They have hills for beginners to advanced. Everything was clean, organized, and with several lifts and hills, everything was fast. Jay is isolated so perfect to getaway and time to...More

As compared to the north Montreal and Quebec major ski areas this place is great for several reasons: Friendly staff (compare to Mt. Tremblant) reduced lift and package rates “” nonexistant lift lines. “” pretty good runs ( tremblant might be taller but if u...More

Of course it is a great ski area with often knee-dep powder glade skiing, but it also has an awesome indoor water park, gold course with terrific mountai views, multiple restaurants, recreation center, and indoor ice arena.

I was at Jay Peak about 1 1/2 weeks ago. Conditions then were marginal. Lots of ice because of alternate thawing/freezing as well as some rain thrown in (Jay Peak will never mention the word "ice" in their conditions... More

We are looking to fly up north around April 4-9. I know nothing about skiing up north so am I being naive to think the further north we go, the more snow & chance of more lifts still open?? I'm trying to keep us within 2 hours of major airports (flying with 3 little boys - you can imagine the travel days up & back will not be my fave part of the trip! ;) ). My husband & I have skied before - but still consider ourselves beginner intermediates since we don't do it often at all. Our boys will be learning for the first time - ages 4, 6 & 9. From the reviews, it seems Jay Peak may be out of our comfort zone with mostly challenging runs? Though other reviews have me thinking this would be a perfect place to go -- hello indoor water park in case of rainy weather! Any advice will be much appreciated! We are honestly open to anywhere in New England at this point, even looking into Mont Tremblant as an option since transportation is just 30 minutes fr the airport. Thank you!!!
