This was our first time to the dinosaur park and we enjoyed it! I definitely recommend strollers for the little guys. It’s quite a distance.
We really liked the little scavenger hunt book that you can purchase at the front. We spent about 2-2.5 hours in the park. The indoor museum wasn’t that exciting but we liked seeing all the gems upstairs.
The dinosaurs are fun. We got a lot of great pics!

This was the best thing I could’ve showed my daughter and grandson! Loved the gem mining experience upstairs. The Show Box displays an amazing green forest Malachite ( Cu2(CO3)(OH)2 ) from Democratic Republic of the Congo. Also shows dinners on the table: Baked Potato, Salmon, Steak and Lamb Chops Fossils. Indoor downstairs, a panel mounted cast skeleton of Tanycolagreus showing how some theropods are found with their necks pull back in called a “Death Pose”. Outdoors Dinosaurs Parks shows numerous wonderful carnivorous and herbivore dinosaurs. We spent around one hour and ended up gift shop.

Had a great time with our 13 year old son. Cost of admission was inexpensive. We could easily have spent a half day here.
The museum was very cool. So many different dinosaurs and fun facts about each. We probably moved a little faster than we would have through the museum due to COVID. Didn't want to monopolize the displays. Interactive touch screens were off (stupid COVID), but there was still a lot of signage identifying each dinosaur, where/ when they lived, and more.
The outside park was very cool. Lots of fun picture opportunities. Easy to walk paths and a lot of dinos to see. Looks like there was usually a snack bar, which we would have taken advantage of. The grounds are beautiful, and the background scenery is amazing.

When we decided to go to the Eccles Dinosaur Park we were unsure what we were in for. All three of us were adults, but have retained a fascination with dinosaurs. We should not have worried.
The park combines great signage with some of the latest scientific discoveries with fun activities for kids. If you enjoy the sciences or you have kids this is a must see in Salt Lake City.

The dinosaur park was a great stop during our drive through Utah. Our Dino-obsessed girls ran gleefully from life-sized dinosaur to dinosaur and had a blast on the playground as well. Additionally the indoor museum was also very interesting. We had a great time here and certainly recommend it to families visiting Ogden.

The museum building that is the entrance to the park is nice with displays of fossils and related items. It is arranged so that it is difficult to tell what is real and what is a replica, which seemed a deliberate deception to me. But, kids won't know the difference and they'll enjoy it. The animatronic dinosaurs are a very small part of the museum and they're not very convincing, unless, of course, you are under 6 years old.
The statues outside need to be repainted and cleaned. The setting is nice with lush plantings and a backdrop of towering cliffs, but the bird poop and faded paint don't help. It is a pleasant stroll around the grounds and there is a large play area for kids to climb around.
There is a gift shop at the exit that sells related toys and souvenirs. I thought it was rather generic and with all the stuff all over the floor it looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen. There is a small fast-food stand on hand if you need a snack.
The admission is very cheap, so if you have small kids this is a good way to kill a couple of hours. I can't see anyone spending more time than that here and it certainly isn't an all-day destination by any stretch of the imagination.

...absolutely adored it! The museum is informative. When you first enter the museum, you are faced with a T-Rex and a Stegasaurus and her 2 babies - all robots. The grand kids loved it!!!...
Once you get outside, you walk thru a park with cement dinosaurs - thru paths and hidden trails --- I loved it, and so did the kids - well worth the money...
Bring a picnic lunch if you want to spend the day here - there are also Bar-B-Ques to use.
.... it can take a day or a couple of hours..... GREAT!!

We were here with 3 kids, 19, 10 & 6. All of them loved Eccles dinosaur park! It was nice that they had some fossils to see before seeing the reproductions. It was nice to walk the 6 acre park with the kids. Something "lurking" around every corner. Our 6 year old did get a little scared at one point in a darker jungle area but not bad.

Very awesome experience! I loved how it starts as a tour in the museum. The lights are dimmed, creating an eerie atmosphere. You watch workers cleaning real bones and fossils found. The tour guide then takes you around to various areas where they talk about different monsters. Then you go outside and while it then becomes more like a typical haunted forest, it is anything but. Very realistic features and ideas. At times, really scary! I would recommend this to anyone interested in something different.

Most of the displays in the museum are lacking any type of description or labels, so there is no way to know what you're looking at much of the time. The statues outside are in a pretty sad state. We visited with our 2 kids (8 and 11), even they weren't impressed. Smaller children noted the large playground.

Are there electric Wheelchairs available for handicap people? And if so, what is the rental fee?

They should! There is allot of grandparents like me that want so badly to enter this park as well as other fun outings that should provide mini carts or mini scooters. Now I'm not sure if I can go today. This is really making me very sad'! People have disability and places like this should support the disability world so we don't feel lift out! And yes if I needed a scooter full time I would feel this is my responsibility, however I can still walk but I'm unable to walk around and stand. So places like this keep disappointing me when I find they dont offer support help in order to get more families out and together. This is a supported org site why isn't the state programs helping with this?? I'm so disappointed and sad to keep seeing this.

Yes. There is a huge playground located on the east side of the Dino park.

Many Reviews say a great day out, but any insight on time to spend there if on a schedule? How long to walk the outside paths? Amount of time for the indoor parts? I know it varies based on how long you dwell on things, but any guidelines? Much appreciated!

Our entire trip was about 4 hours and we were lounging in the sun for about 1 1/2 hours of it. I bet you could walk it and see it all in about 2 hours.
