Now this is the kind of art that is priceless! Survived 1500 years in the elements. Definitely check these out as you do the auto tour starting at the quarry.

Still in Dinosaur National Monument and with picnic lunch packed, we headed down Cub Creek Road towards a shady grove of trees. Along the way, we passed a couple of spots where we sighted visitors traversing the hillsides presumably looking for petroglyphs. The kids were...More

Plenty of petroglyphs here, if you want to see petroglyphs up close this will be your stop. If your camera has a good zoom, you can get 80% of the artwork from the parking area. Otherwise your looking at about 568 feet & 75 feet...More

Walk up close to the petroglyphs at the Swelter Shelter from the Freemont culture 1000 years ago. Many other sites to visit and view. Some near and others far up the cliff face.

Instead of turning lift to go to the Querry Visitor Center, continue straight until you get to a sign with a picture of the petroglyph and the number 1. Park by the sign and walk to the mountain to see a good collection of petroglyphs....More

If you are on the Utah side of Dinosaur National Monument make sure you take a quick stop! It is still impressive that these photos lasted all these centuries!

We hiked up to the petroglyphs with our teenagers, and everyone loved it. There is some rather large petroglyphs, some very clear, and some you really have to look closely for. It was fun to discover them.
