    MUST DO
sand hollow was something i didnt realize that i needed to experience. Its honestly beautiful and the perfect cool off in this desert. We come here often and it offers a lot of things to do and free life vests for anyone to use. You can choose to stay cliff side or beach side. My kids love it, i love it and its fin for everyone. Although i do hear that sometimes people get swimmers itch. We've gone several times and (knocks on wood) and havent gotten swimmers itch.

    Stunning views
It's a beautiful state park. The entrance fee is $25 but it offers amazing views and you can swim in the blue waters or ride jet skis. There are also sand bikes and 4x4s running around the beach. A lovely outing anytime for family or friends. Very close to St. George and a great tourist spot.

Refreshing adventure for a hot day!
The best place to spend a hot day in Southern Utah! Refreshing clean & clear water to swim in. Lots of rentals available. We rented a kayak for 2 hours at a very reasonable price. Beautiful red/clay colored sand. Small admission fee required to get in, but well worth it. Plenty of parking and space to set up for the day. Highly recommend making this a stop on your Utah bucket list. We will definitely be back! More pics & videos from this place on @adventurebyalyssa instagram :)

We had a great day on rented SUPs and rock jumping. Beautiful and well-maintained park. Best if you bring your own shade.

Incredible lake with boat, jet skis and other fun rentals. Super soft terra cotta colored sand made everything even better!

We are experienced OHRVers, but we're from the East Coast where trails are well defined. SHSP is basically a sandpit. We had a good time, but if you aren't used to riding in this environment, it can be disorienting.

Plenty of parking, gorgeous area with cliffs at end of parking lot. Water is warm but cool enough to feel refreshing. I was here on a very busy Saturday but still found places where I could set f down my pack and swim solo, enjoying the beauty.

Came here to jump of the rocks into the lake. Earlier in the season, the water is pretty cold. Hard to swim because it's so cold. Later in the summer, they have signs warning that there's algae that is toxic and not to swallow any of the water.

To get to the cliff jumping rocks, park all the way on the left side of the parking lot. It's about a 1/4 walk from there. A lot of people also bring their boats out to the lake. They have decent backrooms with plumbing.

This is our 3rd trip. Unfortunately, since it was 4th of July weekend it was a lot more crowded than times past. We have been here in the middle of July 2021, and August 2021 and it was no where close to being crowded.
That being said, this place is worth the trip. We are from Boulder City, NV (outside Las Vegas/Hoover Dam). My Army son joined us on this trip and had a blast riding the dunes/trails on the side-by-sides. The lake is clean, and the water the perfect temperature.
One bit of advice - have a vehicle that is off-road with you or rent one of the many off road vehicles they offer, TO HAUL YOUR THINGS ON/OFF THE BEACH! It is a bit of a haul from parking to the lake, in sand, in sand that gets harder and harder to walk on the hotter it gets outside. The rangers will let you drive these onto the beach if you are packing stuff in and out, but won't let you park it there.

Came here and camped at the primitive camping. Loved the lake and all the activéis here. I just struggled battling the wind picking up sand and getting it everywhere in our tent.
