We visited as a storm was coming in so it wasn't as nice as it could have been, but it is still a beautiful area that is in the process of recovering from a previous hurricane.

The park is open to day use. The park Rangers were informative and very helpful. Went to Fish Pass. Great place to kayak when its not windy. The road is rough. Go slow! Also went swimming at the beach.

The bathrooms and showers are closer to the electric campsites before the beach parking. The bathrooms are up stairs and the showers downstairs. This is a closed building and not the same as the beach showers that are simply for rinsing off sand which are closer to the beach after the beach parking lot.
