Free to visit, easy to reach by foot from the city center and tidy. Steel beams on the grass give you an idea how big the complete building must have been.

I was quite impressed with the ruins. Easily accessible. Don't miss the statue of St Suger on the small square close by.

Of the remains of the Abbaye Saint-Bertin what remains is ruins, so this is what you will find, Interesting and in a nice park. If you are nearby it is worth he stop.

We were staying close by and visited this had been a large building and along with the ruins the full extent is marked in the gardens

The ruins are perfectly integrated in a nice neighborhood of Saint Omer. Even if the ruins are protected and can only be admired from the outside, you can spend great moments around them in the small but nice park. Explanations about the history are not...More

Little remains of the Abbaye Saint-Bertin, save for a few crumbling walls and a status of some chap called ‘Suger’. The park next-door is a meeting place for the local youth of the town and a collection of rather unsavoury characters.
