WE wandered the birding area on a slightly rainy/misty day and had the place to our selves and the birds. Nicely done. Areas to sit and view birds, some picnic area and lovely sculptures along the way.

Well done with emphasis on conservation and education Grounds have numerous sculptures of local wildlife with information carved into a stone nearby. Great for birdwatching or just relaxing. The preserved house and furnishings are also nice.

Always impressed by the beautiful gardens and variety of birds in this hidden gem. The buildings are historical and there is a small gift shop with unique offerings. The lush vegetation is what keeps visitors coming back.

Rustic but well maintained. As all who visit or live in South Texas know, summers here are very hot. The trails here are mostly shaded and the scenery is quite pretty. They offer different family oriented activities.
