I love it BUT it may be just a lot of hype to the non-believer. Bring a blanket and some snacks and plan to sit and wait for dark. If the weather is nice and warm you will have a crowd of mystery-watcher around you...More

I live in Marfa and have had the good fortune to see the lights a number of times. But not every night. When you see them you know they are not car lights but something otherworldly and amazing!

We went out to see the lights, froze our biffys off and did not observe anything. We were there for a little over 2 hours. The state has built a nice restroom facility and provided limited benches and some telescopes to view the lights in...More

Not sure if we saw the right lights but we saw something. Even if you don't see the mysterious lights, the viewing area is perfect for star gazing.

They were there on an overcast night. Just off in the horizon to the right. Blue and white and moving around a bit.

This venue was built on the side of the highway just to make the viewing of the lights easier for anyone wanting to stop. We really enjoyed the experience.

Two signs in either direction give you a Mile warning that this comes up on the South side of the Highway. The viewing platform is really a rest stop. I didn't see the lights, but other friends have. Hope it is Metaphysical (Aliens?) rather than...More

This was just odd. I’ve heard about these since I was a child but it’s so far out in the middle of nowhere I thought I’d never have to opportunity to go. I was wrong. I went, I saw them and I was fascinated! There...More

There are definitely some mysterious lights. (a few obvious ones too... the amber colored ones are headlights on highway 87), but the red and green lights are actually kind of neat to watch. Some old man (looking like santa claus on vacation) showed up and...More

The mystery "phenomenon" is great PR for the little town of Marfa, too! It is fun, so don't take it too seriously!
