We went to Glenwood Cemetery to not only walk for exercise but to see this beautiful place with all of the headstones of many familiar names. The grounds are well kept and there is a certain reverence upon entering.

This is a beautiful historic place. Howard Hughes and may well-known people are buried here. But the best reason to visit is the oportunity to see the hills, amazing oak trees and the views of Houston's downtown

Some may consider it morbid, but it is a nice cemetery to walk through and see some grave. There are prominent Houstonians buried here. Back in the day, people used to come here to have picnics on lush grass and great view of downtown.

A lot of famous people. Howard Hughes and the Cooley family. Beautiful trees and lots of Houston history. I think they offer a Saturday walking tour.
