The review is for the garden only. We did not take the house tour. SInce we visited in December where there were very few flowers blooming, it is difficult to give a higher rating. I am sure in the spring, it will be more lovely....More

If you like antique furniture, I recommend a visit to the house; if not don't bother. The house isn't all that special. The museum focuses on the furniture. . Otherwise stick to the gardens. They are fabulous. I plan to go back in the spring....More

A must for those interested in American Decorative Arts, this wonderful collection spans several hundred years. Like Winterthur, (Dupont was a rival collector) rooms are period and contain some truly rare and exceptional pieces.

I didn't see any dogs in my visit, but you might want to contact the Gardens directly. For safety reasons they might not, there is a bridge you have to cross and only one person at a time and no stopping on the bridge. It... More

Yes there are many times brides have photos taken in the garden area. I am not sure about using the house. The gardens are beautiful and photographers use it often.
