Today, we attended your Houston venue, we are a family of 6. This is our 5th escape room in Houston and so far the WORST.
We did Mystery in the mansion. First of all the website says it lasts 1h15min and they only gave us 1h. The man at the door barely explained some instructions with a monotone tone like he wasn’t happy to work there…. When asked for clues they took a longtime to deliver and normally in other rooms when the time is about to finish they provide extra info or help. At the end a lady came to open the door so we’re not sure who was really monitoring our adventure at all. Finally dirty restrooms with no toilet paper… we had to request it.
A bonus, the pic sent to us had a link to write a review but the link doesn’t work at all.
Lots of money for a poor attention and services. We don’t plan to come back to your location and will advertise our friends about the dissatisfaction.

Our game guide played the second half of the game for us, despite us not asking. He came in and when asked why he did that yelled back that he only helped us on one thing (a lie), holding up a single finger up in our face even. When challenged he immediately stormed out to get his manager.
The manager walked in and Kendrick, the awful employee, was just arguing about us to him like we weren't there. We have to actually raise our voices now to get the child to leave the room so we can actually talk to the manager ourselves. Then the manager is basically just as argumentative. He says we're being hostile, claimed to have watched our game but was wrong about the details, and basically offers no form of apology for a ruined experience. It settles down after a minute or so but clearly the manager, Dillon, had no intentions of valuing the customer experience.
I have games there that I still have not played and will not be back

I have done about 30 escape rooms in different cities throughout the country. I’d say this was a middle of the road one, decent puzzles, good, but not blow you away production value, if I did a room and had no issues I’d probably rate 3.5-4/5. However we had two major issues during our last time there.
First off we got to a puzzle that we were very close to solving, but couldn’t quite finish it off. After trying this one puzzle for almost 10 minutes we ask for a clue. The woman comes over the speaker and gives us an extremely basic clue that we clearly already knew as we were very close to solving it and it didn’t help. So we asked for another, and another, and another. So after 4 clues that didn’t give us any info we didn’t already know I ring the gong a 5th time and say can you please just explain the puzzle because we aren’t getting it. They give us the explanation and we move on.
Not two minutes later we start working on a puzzle and struggle with it for maybe 20 seconds and the same manager, Dillon, comes on the speaker and just tells us the answer. No clue request, nothing. I say out loud we would really like no more hints unless we ask and he snarkily tells me that we asked for the answer on the previous one so he thought we’d just want all the answers. I reply no only if we ask for them. Just for context there were probably 15 or so puzzles and we were on puzzle 12 with 30 minutes left when we got stuck so it’s not like we were behind.
Then as we were attempting to finish, we solve the next to last riddle and open a drawer to find nothing inside. We ask for a clue and they seem perplexed. After about 5 minutes they come into the room to tell us they forgot to reset something. It happens, that alone wouldn’t be a big deal. However after Dillon was so arrogant and snarky with me 10 minutes earlier it really rubbed me the wrong way.
Overall the room was good, I think they should improve their clue giving process based on how the puzzle is actually going, and Dillon, come on man, you knew what you were doing and it kind of ruined the experience for me.

First, we ended up doing another game because, for some reason, management couldn't reach me out by phone nor email to tell me that the room got flooded by Beryl. So we did Mystery Murder. I was disappointed at the disastrous state of the room and game gadgets. Automatic lock from one of the drawers as well as the middle door were broken. The music was way too loud and disturbing. I wonder how they were not ashamed to make us pay for that.

The Escape Hunt was everything that I had hoped. The atmosphere was excellent and everything was extremely well laid out. Clues were the perfect amount of difficult yet not impossible to discover. I will definitely be trying to escape the other rooms there very soon!

A group of 4 adults - we did the samurai room. Crow was our game master and was generous with hints when we needed them. We have done quite a number of escape rooms in the past. This one had a bit of everything in it. We did not escape our room but were getting pretty close, so this room lives up to its difficulty rating. Would definitely go back and try their other rooms.

I worked with the owner Jim to put together a half-day team building event for our group of 10 people. Jim did a great job helping me plan the event and we had a great experience while staying within our budget. Our event included catered lunch, a workshop about communication and ways of working, the hour escape room, and facilitated de-brief. After the event, my manager said this was the best team building event he has ever been to! I would definitely recommend Escape Hunt to anyone considering a corporate team building event.
Our group of 10 was split into two teams of 5, but both teams did the same escape theme at the same time (they have multiple rooms, and duplicate themes, so you can all get the same experience). We did the most difficult room so neither of us escaped, but Dillon was a great game master and helped us out with clues that allowed us to complete most of the game.
Matt from Epiphany taught us about our different working styles and we learned a lot about each other and how we work as a team under pressure.

First time. It was a puzzle that was very engaging and social. Great staff also made the experience fun.

This is a wonderful experience part of me & my family's visit to NASA Houston recently. To experience it real life makes it special. My 15 year old son was thrilled!
