Enjoyed all the different birds up close through the viewing shelters. Watched the javelinas taking advantage of the free food also.

This is an excellent spot for taking a nature walk and soaking in the wonderful treasure of birds and flora in the valley. Especially right now in the spring, all the Texas Prickly Pear Cactus are in bloom and are truly gorgeous.

Fun place to visit with kids of every age. The trails are wide and the flowers on the paths are beautiful. It’s worth a visit, but younger kids will get tired after a while.

Find all the information you can on all their birding centers and visit as many as you have time for. The Texas State Parks did a great job on their facilities.

We have been here several times this winter. There are many bird blinds which enable you to watch the birds (many different species) while not disturbing them. There are well marked paths and restroom facilities. It is a nature park, not a children's park unless...More

We went to the big Rio Grande Birding Festival in Nov. It is a BIG operation and some of the sessions are crowded..but the people were nice and helpful, and the birds were great.
