We came here two months ago and had a wonderful experience, so decided to come back when we were in town. Our lane broke down and there were three ladies working the desk who did not seemed to care. It was mid afternoon and very slow and they were just standing around chatting. I grabbed an older gentleman walking around and he got us some help. We waited over 30 minutes before we could continue bowling. Had a 5 and 3 year-old with us, so this was no fun. There were three adults and the two children and we each bowled 3 games, paying well over $100.00. We should have gotten at least free drinks or some type of compensation for the wait. Will check out a different bowling alley the next time we return to the area.

Place was busy & understaffed. We did get a call within 15 minutes that a lane was ready, but had to wait in a long line with one register open. Scoring boards were messed up adding a few pins, but atmosphere was fun with the lighted disco ball affect. Crowd was diverse, but did not know lane etiquette. Staff was friendly & helpful when we did speak. Had s good time despite of shortcomings.

We usually bowl at AMF Richardson but decided to give the Garland Lanes a try. When you first walk in the Garland location looks really nice & has a lot of lanes (at least 60 I believe). An unexpected item in this bowling alley is horse shoe pits, I've never actually seen anyone play them but it's something different than the usual pool tables, arcade games etc. There is also a pro-shop at this location.
My #1 complaint & the reason I would never bring anyone here is that you can still smoke inside. It's 2015 how can you smoke inside anywhere?!
My other complaint is the front desk people aren't exactly helpful/friendly. One time when we were here & had pre-paid to play 4 games during the 3rd game it said "pre-paid limit coming to an end" so my husband went up to the front desk to get it fixed. Instead of just fixing the problem the manager accused him of doing something wrong that was causing the system to think we'd already played 4 games. Isn't there an old saying "the customers always right" ;)
And lastly even though they have a lot of lanes they tend to put groups in lanes right next to other groups even when there are tons of open lanes throughout the entire bowling alley. A few easy changes could go a long way for this place.

Great place for families to interact and compete with one another. The food and drinks were on point the food came out fast and it was actually good. The staff is friendly they welcome you on your way in. It’s very clean and that’s always a plus.

Hi,
I bowled in this house before AMF bought this center. I was married on lanes 3 & 4 in august 1999.
Tonight when I arrived it was like walking into the past as I have spent many hundreds of hours here though out the 1990's. I just tell you this, to let you know I know what to expect from a good bowling center.
This place is under staffed. The prices are too high. The equipment does not function as it should.
When I ask to speak to a manager, he was in the office and unavailable. I the asked for his name and was given Bart. When I ask for his last name the employees did not know. I then inquired about the next level management and no one seemed to have a name or number.
$60 for 7 games of bowling and no refreshments seems awful expensive.
Customer service is bad here. I would avoid this place.

For the amount of money this place charges--so many things could be SO MUCH BETTER! First of all--there needs to be ALOT more employees! There was some angry bus boy who kept coming and slamming his towel down. He apologized that he was upset that he was the only one working and cleaning all the tables. I was thinking "dude quit your job if you are so unhappy." Then the lines. Oh my gosh the lines. The prices are next! They charge way too much per game, per person, plus for shoes too. It's too much money for the crappy experience. This place needs a total revamp in management and many other things!

Maybe it's me or my team, but we have been bowling league here for 2 years and have lanes down over 50% of the time!

Shady location. Alot of panhandlers in the area. Inside bathrooms were nice/clean and all the employees had great attitudes. Even late in the afternoon the young lady at the snack bar popped fresh popcorn just for me. A little dark inside but I love tons of light so I can see. Other than that. Great place!
