The website says it open on Sunday at 630 am. Family and arrived at 730 and the gates are closed at both entrances, really upsetting after an hour and a half drive to get here.

Nice view of the dam and lake. Park benches set up and trails down to the water and easy walking on the dam. So peaceful and relaxing to watch the sun set over the lake!

Phenomenal views that we weren’t expecting driving up. Trails, facilities and history on the 2002 flood. A nice time to visit during more of the off season

We walked across the dam and the view is beautiful. Very pretty lake. It is nearly a mile across the dam. Great place to get a walk in.

Park closes at sunset. Just make sure you have timed it so you are walking back toward the car when the sun sets. The Sheriff came by and told us all we had ten minutes. After ten minutes he announced to return to your car...More
