Great place for kids to run around and for adults to learn about a variety of the history of the area, esp Oak Ridge and Appalachian living.

I took my three year old nephew here today. He had so much fun! His favorite part was the kitchen of the playhouse. Other favorites were the boat and train rooms. Little kids can play for hours here!

Found this to be better than the science museum. It had touch and feel objects plus real stories. Again read the atomic city girls first

We stopped by to see what this place was about and we were there 2 hours. They gave a history of oak ridge plus they have a HO train layout. Great for the kids

Yes, you can do birthday parties. I believe current price is $150 for room use for 2 hours that includes museum admission for 15 children and accompanying adults.
