Be a part of history with a tour!
Nostalgic tour which makes you feel like part of history. My son proposed to his girlfriend on stage during the tour, and they treated them like royalty! The tour guide had a lot of energy. We got to see inside all the dressing rooms, what happens behind the scenes, and get our picture taken on the historic wooden floor circle on stage. It was fun and memorable!

    The most amazing night!
A trip to the Opry is a must in Nashville. It's such an iconic place and so much fun to see the different talent. Saturday night there was a surprise guest, and it absolutely blew us away. The show had been amazing up to that point, but adding a surprise to the end was so "Nashville" and made our whole trip. Every seat is good. The concessions, drinks, and gift shop all add to the experience. We loved every minute!

    It was very interesting
The tour guide was upbeat and knowledgeable. The virtual tour in the beginning gave me goosebumps. Seeing and learning where the stars stay and enter and exit. We got too see a star getting ready for his show that evening.

A Night at the Grand Ole Opry
We attended a show at the Grand Ole Opry on St Patricks Day. We had a fun surprise when we got there as there was an Irish Music Festival happening outside with a stage, live music, and exhibits around the grounds. We went in eventually and enjoyed the show. The Nashville Irish Dancing School put on a great performance to kick the night off. We especially enjoyed Eileen Ivers. She brought such energy and fun to her performance. If you pay for a closer seat, stay away from the far right and left of the stage. You will likely get a lovely view of the video cameramen as they move in for shots of the performers. That is great, but who wants to see the back side of the camera people. The seats are tight together, but everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. They do serve food and drink in the lobby during the show

    Walk in a legend's shoes!
We loved the backstage tour! We got to walk in the steps of famous country legends. The show that night was full of debuts and 100th show from Meghan Patrick and Carly Pearce. One of the best experiences weil had.

Great evening - the show did not disappoint!
We have been to the Opry one other time and this one was even better than the fist time! We were lucky to see someone perform for their first time as well as see a song writer and a few other singers perform and the best was the Oak Ridge Boys! The Opry did not disappoint! It was a great evening with a sold out crowd! Make sure to purchase your parking ticket online when you order tickets to save time.

Nice But Not The Character Of Ryman
The Grand Ole Opry moved 10 miles northeast of Nashville from the smaller (2,362) Ryman to this 4,400 seat venue as the 6th Opry location in 1974. It is wedged in between the Gaylord Resort and Convention Center, the Opry Mills Mall, and the edge of a major highway and though nice just doesn't have the historic character or location of the Ryman. The interior is nice and modern, there is plenty of parking, and grounds around it are attractive. Tours are a little pricy, and it's a shame they have to charge $39 for the tour.

    A visit to the Opry
We toured back stage. Began with a great video of welcome...it really wowed me! Haley was our guide and had a great personality for this work! She guided us around the dressing rooms and shared tidbits of interest at each stop. Pictures of the stars who have played the Opry for generations line the walls. It's a beautiful venue. Sorry we didn't get to see a show, but they don't have any shows on Sunday when we visited

A must do when you are in Nashville!!!
Went to a show at the Opry last night. We thoroughly enjoyed the show and it exceeded our expectations!! To get the real country music experience, this is is a must!! I highly recommend seeing a show when visiting Nashville! Just know that the venue is outside Nashville at Opry Land and you will need to Uber or have a car to get there. Google maps indicated it was downtown.

    Great Show!
Had great seats and saw a great show! We were hesitant about going because the only night we could go didn't have any "Stars", but they put on a great show! Parked at shopping mall nearby for free, valet was available.

We for sure had to see the Opry when we were in town. And I’m glad we did but it’s not something I need to rush back for. We purchased the special area /venue prior to the Opry,an extra add on $$ called Yhe Circle room, which included some drinks and appetizers/snacks that were terrible and not worth the price, and a performance by one of the evenings performers for 2 songs which was nice, I did not feel it was worth the extra money overall vs what we truly got. so skip that and buy a drink in the main area. As far as the show, the lighting for the show was great loved all the big screens that was great. It was a wonderful experience and I am glad I went at least once but nothing I needed to rush back for as we were hearse out of there immediately to wait outside in the chill to wait for our Uber. It was chaotic and it was a distance from East Nashville where we were staying and the traffic exit was horrible. Great music over-all experience:hectic and pricey.

I hate to say this but if you're only in Nashville for a short trip, YOU CAN SKIP THE GRAND OLE OPRY. The musicians on Broadway were every bit as good (better, in my opinion) than the performers at the Grand Ole Opry - at least on the night we went (which was on a Friday night). And while there was a performer or 2 who had a recent song out, most were much older performers who may have debuted at the GOO decades and decades ago. The hit of the show was actually a Mexican performer whose songs were in SPANISH. I'm actually trying to learn Spanish but couldn't understand a word. And before that performance, people were trickling into their seats and after the performance, it seemed like half the audience left - DURING THE NEXT PERFORMANCE which seemed rude to me. The whole experience was strange. And the Grand Ole Opry is next to a big mall probably 20-25 min off Broadway so it's not easy to get to - or "charming" given the mall and highway on either side. The tickets were also pretty expensive for what it was - $150/ticket for average seats. IF YOU DO GO, maybe try to do a tour instead (I didn't do that so I have no idea what that is like and honestly, it seems like just a big auditorium with a stage but maybe the background video is interesting?). And if you go to a show, just get the cheapest ticket (I wouldn't sit in the sections on the very edges, however, as it's a challenging angle from the side). We sat in the middle of section 23 and those seats were fine.

When in Nashville....
They offer a discount if you purchase your tickets after the tour. There is an intermission but also lots of commercials during the show plugging their sponsors. The entertainment was ok...the comedian was awesome. The bench seats were awkward to get in and out of when the row was full. Lots of stalls in washrooms. Bar and concessions available. Time at intermission to shop in gift store.

Tour was expensive. We were late due to some huge turkey convention blocking all entrances to property but they let us in to meet our group vs starting with the next time slot. Informative guide. They offer a discount on tickets to see the show at the end of the tour but they did not offer us the discount when we booked both online in advance.

We did seats C 1 and C2 in the balcony. Just perfect on view, concesssions, restrooms, sound and ease of seating. I'd book C1-4 or B1-4 or A1-4.

If in Nashville, this should be at the top of the list! They take small groups of like 20-30 people. You see a very moving/emotionally happy, short film that is like 12 min and then you are taken on a back stage tour. It ends with picture taking (while you are standing on the 'sacred circle' that was taken from the Ryman theater stage and incorporated at the Opry house. YOu can purchase that picture in the gift shop. The tour is very informative and the dressing rooms are pretty cool and all the facts and history are great. Its about 50 min tour, but honestly, it goes so fast!

Enjoyed the tour. The guide was funny and informative. The best part was standing on the Opry stage, looking out at where the audience sits.

Absolutely exceptional. Can’t quite describe how good this was. Was a little worried beforehand as didn’t recognise any of the acts so wasn’t sure what to expect. Every single act, while different and unique, was exceptional. Would have gone again, had we not scheduled this for our last night.

Unbelievable experience to visit the home of country music. The backstage tour was the icing on the cake. Fantastic music, fantastic atmosphere and being broadcast live on radio gives it an extra special feeling.
