I had often wondered about the underground mines. Then one day I decided I would bite the bullet and go on the tour in the mines. WOW! It's amazing down there. It's a real eye opener to say the least.

We really enjoyed our tour with Kevin. It was such a good experience in the mines and great knowledge from a local. Would highly recommend if in the area.

Such a well looked after place, so clean. The underground tour was excellent with well informed guide. Would recommend for all ages 5 and above.

The tour is a must! Not cheap at $21 pp, but totally worth it. Our guide Steve had our small group of seven in stitches the entire 1 hour 40 mins we were underground. He was well informed, passionate and completely hilarious with his anecdotes...More

Hi wouldnt recommend a stroller as its uneven in spots and gets a bit small inplaces depends on the child and if he/she gets frightened at one point they switch the lights off to show what it was like

Sorry for the late response. The walking into the mine is over a not very steep path. It is doable for sombody walking with a stick. As far I remember, there are no steps. The way up is with a mine-train.
