A must do visit
May 2021
What a delightful winery...staff were exceptional, friendly, knowledgeable, did not rush us or pressure us.... they offered every wine to taste and made our time there just so enjoyable. This is a definite place to visit, if nowhere else, this is a must..the wines are amazing! I said “ can you please just show us something that is not so delicious “....there was no wines that you could not love

Outstanding wines and experience!
Apr 2021
It was great to be able to return to this outstanding winery! This time we brought some friends who absolutely loved the experience. As a member I was able to book a private tasting and from start to finish it was exceptional. The wines are consistently high quality and good value. All of the staff were genuinely friendly and of course their wine knowledge was excellent. The grounds and buildings are beautiful and the cellar door is welcoming. When you visit Rutherglen this should be on your list!

Relaxing experience with lovely wines.

Beautiful wines in all price ranges.
The chartreuse board selection is nice for a light meal as well.

Sit inside by the fire or outside under the trees in the gardens.

Lovely experience all round.

Dropped in to soak up some local atmosphere, tasted some nice wines! Noticed they had cheese and cracker platters so we grabbed one and some nice wine of course and enjoyed it in the surrounds! Great staff and very nice to visit

Best wine tasting experience ever!
Mar 2021
We picked Campbells Wines as one of the wineries to visit during our trip because they are highly rated in the region on TripAdvisor and also by James Halliday. Campbells Wines has a big wine tasting list, they are uncommercial like some other regions/ wineries - wide wine tasting selection all for free. Most importantly, excellent excellent customer service. We were served by Angela, she’s super personable and friendly. We had a really relaxed and interactive tasting session. Best tasting experience across Australia (honestly). We loved the reds and fortifieds, shoooo gooood!! The wine club promotions are also great! Highly recommend a visit to Campbells for the wide wine selection. Ask for Angela, she’s brilliant!

Beautiful Winery
Jan 2021
What a lovely place to visit!. Our hosts, the wine, the cheese platters and the gardens are all simply great! We arrived in a big group of 15 on our bikes. They were expecting us and were welcoming and accommodating. After tasting we could not resist the long trestle table in the garden, so ordered food platters and glasses of wine to enjoy while we sat a relaxed. It was a perfect afternoon.

Young staff very patient, friendly and helpful
Dec 2020
Part of our private winery tour and arrived with our dog who became an instant hit! Staff and customers entertained him while we sampled and bought some great local wines. History of the winery enthralling and staff couldn't do anymore for us. Had a suddenly very busy time with customers but everyone looked after and all got their personal touch of service. We love the fact this place is dog friendly.

Don’t bother stopping here
Nov 2020 • Friends
Don’t bother stopping here. We were passing through and decided to stop the buy some wine. They were happy to take our money to buy wine but were rudely told we couldn’t taste because we didn’t have a booking. What’s the point of making the effort to stop at a winery then. Mind you there were only a handful of people in the venue at the time. This used to be one of our favourite places to stop and buy wine, I would often stop here and spend $100’s several times a year. I was actually stopping to buy staff gifts today and probably would have spent in excess of $1000. But we won’t be supporting this venue anymore. We’ll find another more hospitable venue who values our business. You would think during a difficult time for business they would be more open to hospitality and making a sale. Apparently not.

Great way to while away the hours
Nov 2020 • Couples
The people at Campbells always make us feel welcome. With such an extensive wine list it was easy to spend a couple of hours tasting and shooting the breeze with our host. With the weather kind, a cheese and meat plate in the lovely grounds is a nice way to punctuate the tasting.

Warm and informative
Jan 2020
We really enjoyed meeting Ellen at Campbell’s Wines Cellardoor. They are suitably proud of their long history in the Australian wine world as one of the first families of Australian wine spanning 150 years! It is a wonderful experience to try such a wide and interesting variety of wine such as Tempranillo, Marsanne and Viognier as well as the fortified’s that the region is famous for. The tasting was unrushed and informative and we are looking forward to new experiences coming soon. Be sure to include this gorgeous family winery when visiting Rutherglen

Thank you for taking the time to tell us abour your experience at Campbells. It was our absolute pleasure to host you at our cellar door, Nicci. So pleased you enjoyed our Rhone varietals and rich history. Hopefully we will see you again soon for some more fortified flight tastings. Kind regards, Ellen
