Beautiful venue. Friendly staff. Lovely great priced wines.
We attended this afternoon, we were welcomed warmly.
Free generous tasting of their really well priced numerous wines.
We then sat in the leafy gardens and had a yummy platter.
Of course we bought wine also.
My only suggestion would be that as there was only 2 of us and the platter set up is you buy a whole pack of crackers $10, the whole blocks of cheese etc. way too much for a couples. Maybe offer 1/2 serves.

We attended at the winery at 4.15 pm and there were 6 of us 4 tasting others designated drivers. We were greeted with a very grumpy customer service person who told us you have to be out by 5 pm who is tasting! Not a welcoming greet or any nicety about it. We had not been at any other winery just arriving to the area for the weekend. We understood that it was going to be a busy weekend for the staff but if you had issues why were you open ? Other couples walked in and were greeted with the same unwelcoming service . I had been to Campbells on many occasions with great service and to take my friends for the fist time will be the last time .

Lovely gardens surround this winery and the inside is just as nice. Lots of room to stand at the bar or sit on couches in front of the huge open fire. Great service resulted in us buying a bottle of the 2021 Bobbie Burns shiraz and the fortified duo. The only place we went to that doesn’t automatically charge you a tasting fee per person.

Rutherglen is an inland area, with a continental climate which is good for growing cool climate grapes, especially reds like shiraz and durif. Campbells is famous for its Robbie Burns red. It's also well known for muscat, the sweet wine that is characteristic of Rutherglen. The Robbie Burns is a good example of the gutsy reds, for which Rutherglen is famous. Campbells is a family-owned winery, which was established in 1870.

The building is attractive and the cellar door space is inviting, with the wood fire burning. Our host took us through a variety of wines, being very helpful and informative, happy to answer our questions. There were some very good wines. The Shiraz and Shiraz Durif were our favourites but we bought a number of wines because the quality at this old established winery is very good. It is well worth a visit.

The girls have taken over and really improved the look and feel of this cellar door. It is light, bright and very welcoming. An extensive range of wines with some really interesting ones to taste. The Bobbie Burns was my favourite! The lovely Angela looked after us which really added to our experience she was so knowledgeable and passionate. Thank you.

Was the first winery I visited in Rutherglen on friends recommendations, wow, I was so impressed by the quality of their wines. Look I'm not a wine "connoisseur" but I can taste a good drop of wine from a bad one. From the moment I walked into the cellar door the service was warm, welcoming, personal and informative. Tasting good to great wines was the icing on the cake. I'm a red wine man and the moment I tasted the 2010 Bobbie Burns Shiraz, I was hooked. Oh my, the 2019 Bobbie Burns is good, really good but the 2010 Bobbie Burns was great, now that's what I'm talking about.
As I said I'm not a "connoisseur" but I know what I like and I bought a few bottles of this great red to savour and enjoy.

This beautiful building not only houses the winery but also a very well appointed cellar door that allows you to sample the fine product produced by this winery. Very helpful and friendly staff explain the wines on offer and assist in guiding you to wines suited to your taste.

In 2020, Campbell's celebrated 150 years of producing wine from the same patch of ground. Among their many awards is a score of 99/100 from American wine critic Robert Parker for their Muscat. The Robbie Burns Shiraz has passed its half century, and will cellar for eight to 10 years, the maker says. Campbell's produce good whites, as well as reds and fortified wines, Campbell's are members of Australia's First Families of Wine. Campbell's are generous with their tastings.
