This park has fond memories for us as we got married in the central rotunda. This park is huge for Balmain and you can walk right to the point and look over Sydney harbour. There are several walking tracks that take you down the cliffside...More

Balmain is a different suburb from when I lived here for many years, so much more apartment building but this is one of the better parts that has remained a constant. A lovely relaxing park with great views of the Parramatta River and close to...More

Great for families and picnics! The rotunda can be booked out for birthdays and it is only a 5 minute walk down to Dawn Fraser Baths

One of the best places to watch and enjoy the peaceful activities on the Parramatta River. The point looks directly at Cockatoo Island and some aspects of the Drummoyne waterfront.

Kids love this park because there is so much to explore and the parents can keep an eye on them at the same time. Good harbour views. There is the old bandstand, swings and slippery dips, walking tracks, the Dawn Frazer pool and lots of...More

A sparkling wrap-around water view, huge shady trees, grassy picnic spots, a picturesque band-stand, a picture postcard wedding venue, well-appointed and securely fenced children's playground, wheel-chair accessible, dog-friendly, and a photographer's delight - land, water, skyscapes, foliage and Cockatoo Island. The iconic Dawn Fraser Swimming...More

Viewing the harbour, watching the boats, seeing the history. It is all possible in this park, including seeing the part that includes the filled in dry dock. Shade and sun, seating and pathways. Nice to visit and relax or exercise!

A very typical old style Sydney park, water views and big old Moreton bay figs. Plenty of room for a picnic, never too crowded and lots of shade for a hot day

There is a large and well thought out children's enclosed play area. Also a beautiful rotunda that is a perfect setting for a wedding. Sheltered and picture perfect. Lovely views over the harbour too.

Take the ferry to the inner west suburb of Balmain and
be enchanted with this picturesque and eclectic
waterside area. A stroll down Darling Street will take
you on a tour of coffee shops, boutique delicatessens
and shops offering wholefood products and organic
cuisines. Yoga studios abound, and live music emanates
from the hotels at night. As the place where the
Australian Labor Party formed in 1891, Balmain has
