The Blues Hall was our favorite club during a recent visit to Memphis. It has just the right amount of grit (it's not too cute or slick), the acoustics are fine, and the drinks are reasonably priced. Of course, the band playing has to be...More

You might be drawn into the bigger, louder Rum Boogie Cafe, but be sure to check out this, more intimate, hole in the wall bar that is right next door. The music was outstanding! Other performers will stop by and play with the band. The...More

Beale Street is famous for its music and food. The Juke Joint doesn’t disappoint with stiff drinks, a lively atmosphere, and home grown blues music. Lots of locals were stopping in tell you this isn’t a tourist haven.

On Beales Street, we walked up and down and liked the music from this place the best. Inside, its a dive but the music was authentic and gritty blues. Beers - $5 and a drink - $10. No atmosphere to speak of but we were...More
