I’ve been to Peel Farm a few times but was a little disappointed recently: we ate outside as it was a lovely day and everything was served in takeaway stuff. Not only was this very environmentally unfriendly (the packaging was marked recyclable but the only bins were normal black bins) but having ordered a full scottish breakfast it was actually really hard to eat - all the elements were stacked into a tiny container on top of each other. We would have eaten in if we had been made aware about all the packaging for eating on the outside tables. Not the best experience sadly.

Cappuchino coffee was so weak it wasn't clear it was coffee. The burger tasted good, but at less than half the size of the bun ( see the photo ), I felt cheated. It came with a leaf of lettuce and a tablespoonful of potato salad, beetroot salad, relish and some crisps. Friendly staff and cute little outdoor cabins to dodge the showers, but I wouldn't go back.

We went for a walk to Reekie Linn waterfall and then drove up to Peel Farm for a cuppa. Great place, friendly staff and great choice of cakes and goodies!

Peel Farm used to be a lovely welcoming place. I’m not sure if it has changed ownership but recently the shop has decided to put some very unwelcoming, passive aggressive signs up. Maybe there has been a problem with breakages but nearly every stand in the shop now has a sign with different variations on “do not touch”. In particular the “don’t rummage in the freezer” and “ don’t touch what you don’t intend to pay for” are not really the welcoming atmosphere that I’d have thought tourists, let alone locals, would have expected. It’s a real shame as it is such a lovely place with great food.

Just home from an amazing 2 day stay in a glamping pod. The area, staff, accommodation and animals of course were outstanding. Could not have asked for better and can’t wait to visit again.

I have visited Peel farm more than few times. Mostly the quality of food has been good. However this visit was disappointing to say the least.
I asked for gluten free toast with bacon. There was only one slice of curled up dry bacon on each half of the toast. My husband and daughter had a panini which came with accompanying salad and coleslaw, I thought perhaps mine could have had this too? Or at least two slices of bacon to make up for it, it just looked so unappetising. I should have complained at the time as it wasn't worth the money, but I was put off by the unfriendly staff. I know staff have commented recently about customers being rude and not following social distancing rules or wearing masks but I regret to say some of the staff were acting like it was an inconvenience that we were there. I usually am a fan of Peel farm but on this occasion, it's out me off returning soon.

Came across here by chance after visiting reekie linn. Staff were attentive and helpful. The toasties were great, especially the coronation chicken one! Can’t recommend the milkshakes enough, had the crunchie one and must have finished it in seconds!
A little on the expensive side but it is obvious the food is of good quality and fresh so don’t mind the extra cost. The cakes looked amazing and can’t wait to return to try them!
