Good place to gain an overview of Kirriemuir and the glens nearby. Plenty of interesting displays and artefacts, housed in the town’s oldest building. Town history, including the important textile industry and Kirriemuir-born writer J. M. Barrie, is covered on the ground floor, with the first floor set aside for the glorious glens and Kirrie-born former rock singer Bon Scott, once of AC/DC. Access is provided to a digitised image archive. Admission is free, the staff friendly and enthusiastic. Pay & display parking is a three-minute walk.
