Make sure to stop in the Staffin dinosaur museum. My grandkids loved it. The curator was fantastic and very friendly. We could have stayed and talked with him all day.

We were lucky to find this spot at low tide on our visit, as the few footprints that remain in view are largely covered with seaweed. Fortunately there were a number of other people with the same interest as ourselves, so we were able to...More

Never found the footprints as there buried under seaweed but knowing that they are there and you are walking around in the footsteps was enough for me. Being here with my wife and 12 year old daughter was such an amazing experience. The beach is...More

WHAT a feeling when we found it. If you like dinosaurs you'll love this. Go at low tide. Just brilliant.

A lovely experience to see the footprints but they are pretty vague and don't take long to find. We didn't really go prepared for the beach though and we should have, as its a lovely beach and nice to spend some time there. Kids loved...More

Unlike other reviews we found the footprints quite quickly but this did not ruin our trip. The views around the beach are stunning and the geology where the footprints are located is very interesting. The footprints themselves are a great reminder of what used to...More

Michelle, your question is a little difficult to understand. The footprints may be covered with sand or seaweed or the tide. The time of day has nothing to do with being able to see them unless you are thinking of the... More

There is a small car park off the main road down a single track road to the beach. Take warm clothing and a good pair of boots as it is very cold at this time of year. The prints are on the beach at Staffin, they can be... More
