The harbor is small but perhaps the face of Portree with its colorful, quaint building fronts, seafood restaurants, and boat tours. It offers some things to do, but at the very least, give it a walk through during your time in Portree. The fish smell...More

I was prepared to love Portree, but at the time of our visit it was very busy. The beautiful harbour was crouded and the restaurants all fully booked before the night had started. The views are pretty, though, and it was nice to eat seafood...More

The harbor in Portree is very picturesque. We had the best fish and chips that I have ever had in the Lower Deck restaurant right there on the harbor.

Don't get me wrong, the harbor itself is picturesque but that is about all there is too it. As this is where many people begin their Isle of Skye tour, this is great place to stop, but not worth lingering unless you are staying on...More

We expected the town to be filled with multiple colored buildings but that is not the case, the ones pictured are the only ones. The harbor takes under 5 minutes to visit. I wouldn’t recommend stopping.
