The harbour is small and nothing much to see. A walk round Portree definitely worth a lazy afternoon but the harbour itself is only a 10 minute visit. The gift shops in Portree are also very expensive.

We arrived on a cruise ship and really enjoyed wondering around this little Harbour. We climbed the hill near the Harbour and enjoyed an excellent view from an old tower.

Portree Harbour in the evening is something special, particularly when the sun is setting. One of my more memorable moments in Skye, lookin out over the Harbour from our restaurant. Colorful building make such a perfect impression.

I had been wanting to visit Skye for ages and had Portree in mind as one of my stopovers. Why is nothing getting done to make this place prettier for the locals and visitors? I am sure people would pay to cross the bridge for...More

I think the excursions take you to the most famous (popular) sights of Skye - like Old Man of Storr, or Fairie Glen, or Fairy Pool, or Neist Point, etc. I am not sure how accessible these will be from the ship. Most of... More
